Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Campella LLC(“Campella,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Campella website and services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

Who can use Campella

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent, guardian, or other adult to create an account. Campella is for adults planning camps — it is not intended for children, and children may not create or use accounts. When you provide information regarding a child, you represent and warrant that you are the child's parent, legal guardian, or otherwise legally authorized to provide that information and consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of that information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Children under 13 (COPPA). Campella is not directed to children under the age of 13. We knowingly collect information about children only from their parent or legal guardian for the limited purpose of providing the planning and organizational features of the Service. We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to create accounts or provide information directly to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information directly from a child under 13 without appropriate parental involvement, we will promptly delete that information.

Your account

Keep your account information accurate and your password secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@campella.io if you suspect unauthorized use.

What Campella is (and isn't)

Campella is a planning and discovery tool— a directory of camps plus tools to plan each child's summer. We do not run, endorse, or guarantee any camp. Scheduling a camp in Campella is planning only; it is not a registration or booking with the camp.Registering, paying, and any agreement for a child's attendance are strictly between you and the camp. Our optional AI auto-book feature (see Assisted registration below) can help you complete a camp's own registration form, but you remain responsible for signing in, paying, and submitting — Campella never does those steps for you. The “Registered” status is something you mark yourself for your own tracking. Always confirm dates, prices, availability, and policies directly with the camp — listing details may be submitted by camps or the community and can be incomplete or out of date.

AI features

Campella offers optional AI-powered features. These include, and may in the future include, smart search; the AI planner, which suggests and adjusts a week-by-week plan through a chat you can revisit (including for multiple children, keeping siblings together, and working around your time off) from the camper details and preferences you provide; listing enrichment, which drafts camp details from public sources for review; AI summaries of reviews; and AI-assisted registration / auto-book (see Assisted registration below). Some of these may be off, in preview, or not yet available.

AI features are provided “as is.” AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date; it is a suggestion, not professional advice, a recommendation, or a guarantee. You are responsible for reviewing any AI output before you rely on it, register, or pay, and AI does not replace your own judgment or your confirmation of details directly with the camp. Most AI features are paid: Campella AI is $8.99 a month and covers automatic school-break planning, camp suggestions, unlimited AI planning on every season, and AI-assisted registration. School-break reminders are free. Seasons unlocked under our earlier one-time pricing keep their AI planning at no further charge (prices may change with notice; see Payments). We may add, change, limit, price, or remove AI features. Some AI features are processed by third-party AI providers on our behalf; the information you submit is processed to generate a result and is not used to train their models. How your information is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

Any information relating to children that is processed through our AI features is processed solely to provide the requested functionality. Such information is not used to train artificial intelligence models or for advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes.

Camp Circles

Camp Circles let you plan alongside other families in a shared space. A circle is a coordination tool only— it never registers, books, or pays for anything, and adopting another family's suggestion simply adds it to your own plan for you to act on. Circles never change another family's schedule.

You control what you share. Sharing is per-camp (or a whole schedule if you choose), and you can stop sharing an item, or leave a circle, at any time. When you share a camp, invite someone, or post a suggestion, response, comment, or reason, that content — including the first name and camp weeks of a child you choose to include — is visible to the other members of that circle. Information shared within a Camp Circle is visible only to the adult members of that Camp Circle whom you have chosen to share with. Treat it as you would any shared post.

You are responsible for the content you share, and you confirm you are authorized to share any child's information you include. Suggestions and responses are families' own opinions, not endorsements or recommendations by Campella, and coordinating, registering, and paying remain each family's own responsibility. We may remove circle content or memberships that violate these Terms. See our Privacy Policy for how circle information is shared and for your choices.

Assisted registration (AI auto-book)

Campella may offer an optional AI auto-bookfeature (also called assisted registration — distinct from the “autofill” tool that drafts a camp's listing details) that helps you complete a camp's own registration form. When you use it, you authorize us to act on your behalf to open the camp's website in a secure third-party cloud browser and enter the information you provide — some prefilled from your account, some you add for that session. You direct and supervise this: you review the entries, and youperform any sign-in, enter any payment, and click the final “submit” or “pay” button yourself. Campella does not enter passwords or payment details and does not complete the final submission on your behalf.

You are responsible for reviewing the accuracy of every entry before you submit, for confirming details with the camp, and for complying with the camp's own terms of use. When you provide a child's information for AI auto-book, you confirm you have authority to do so. AI auto-book is provided “as is”; we don't guarantee a form will be filled correctly or completely, that a spot will be available, or that a registration will succeed, and we are not responsible for the camp's website or for registration errors, missed spots, or charges. User content

You may post content such as reviews, questions, answers, photos, and camp listing details (“User Content”). You keep ownership of your User Content, and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and use it to operate and promote the Service. You are responsible for your User Content and confirm you have the rights to post it, that it's accurate and not misleading, and that it doesn't infringe anyone's rights or violate the rules below. You should not include unnecessary sensitive personal information about a child in reviews, comments, questions, or other User Content. We may review, moderate, or remove content and may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• post false, misleading, unlawful, harassing, or harmful content;
• post others' private or personal information without permission;
• impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation with a camp;
• scrape, harvest, or bulk-export data, or disrupt the Service;
• attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours;
• use the Service to collect, profile, market to, contact, or otherwise exploit children or their personal information.

Camp owners & claiming

If you claim or manage a camp listing, you confirm you're authorized to represent that camp and that the information you provide is accurate. Paid placements (“Featured” boosts) are clearly labeled and don't change the order of organic results except in the labeled placements.

Payments

Some features are paid. For families, this is Campella AI — $8.99 a month, billed monthly and cancellable at any time, with access continuing through the period you have already paid for. Campella Insider (a one-time yearly family membership covering camp deals) is not currently on sale; existing memberships continue to their stated end date. For camps, these include Camp Starter, Camp Pro, and Featured boosts (some plans are billed monthly, some per season, some as a one-time or per-use charge, and some include a free trial). Payments are processed by Stripe; by purchasing, you agree to Stripe's terms as well. Subscriptions renew until canceled; you can cancel from your billing settings, and access continues through the end of the paid period. Per-use AI charges are incurred when you use the feature. Prices may change with notice. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

Insider deals

Campella Insider members can claim exclusive Insider Deals offered by camps. Each deal is set, provided, and honored by the camp— Campella is not a party to it, doesn't collect the deal price, and doesn't guarantee any deal's availability, terms, or that a camp will honor it (deals are subject to the camp's own terms and any stated limits, quantities, or dates). Claiming reveals a code or reference for you to use directly with the camp; a claim is not a purchase or a reservation of a camp spot. Insider claims are subject to a fair-use limit — currently up to three (3) claims per member per rolling 12-month period— which we may change with notice. Public deals (open to all users) aren't limited in this way.

Third-party services

The Service integrates optional third-party services (for example, Google Calendar). Your use of them is subject to their terms, and we're not responsible for third-party services.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,”without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that camp information is accurate or complete, that camps will meet your expectations, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Campella will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any matters relating to camps, their staff, or their services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Campella LLC from claims and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

Protecting children's information

We reserve the right to investigate suspected misuse involving children's information and to cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities when appropriate.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
